Still my favorite hotel 22 years later!

The first time I ever stayed at the BW Beach Resort Monterey was when I was 4 years old! The service, cleanliness, and view of the ocean are still satisfactory. Of all hotels in Monterey this one is definitely my favorite and of course closely located to the Wharf and Cannery Row! I definitely recommend this hotel!

We were really pleased with this hotel. They did charge us a $17.00 parking lot fee, which we were surprised. The room was very nice and clean. The restaurant at the hotel was alittle pricey but very good food. We will stay there again and we highly recommend it.

A lovely place to stay. The view of course was breathtaking. The staff was very friendly and quite helpful.The hotel is older but has been renovated. The rooms are quite small. When one person is standing at the end of the bed there is not room enough for another to pass. Overall a pleasant experience.

My husband, myself and our 3 children ages 6, 4 and 1 stayed here as a last minute trip before school started. We arrived a few hours early and went to the beach until check in at 4. After standing in line for a half an hour, our room was still not ready. We were able to finally check in at around 5. The room was WAY TOO SMALL for the 5 of us. We brought a playpen for the little one to sleep, our 4 year old slept in the queen bed with us and my 6 year old slept on the hide a bed which was very uncomfortable for her. She said she could feel the coils on her back. I laid on it and it was pretty bad, so we piled the pillows on it for her to sleep on. The room was not big enough for the hide a bed because we had to pile the chairs on top of the table to fit it. It was a fire hazard because it had to be placed long ways in front of the door to fit. The pool claimed to be heated but it was actually pretty cold. We loved being near the beach, but I don't think my 6 year old is old enough to appreciate the crashing of the waves at night. She said it was too loud. The rest of us loved it. It is close to a Target and other things that are convenient if needed. We would probably stay here again, but would need to plan it a lot sooner in order to get a bigger room with 2 beds. We got only what was available on such short notice. Loved being near the beach and so did the kids.

WOW! And that's an understatement!! This hotel is truly the best kept secret in Monterey. Our room was directly on the beach and we went to sleep each evening with the sound of crashing waves. Pretty nice! The price of the room was unbelievably economical -- especially for the beach location. We kept waiting for something terribly wrong but that never happened and we had a delightful time. We will absolutely stay here again. We traveled with another family who booked at a different hotel less than a 1/2 mile away and they stayed with us at the hotel the entire day. Not only is there a terrific and clean beach but also a pool. So easy with kids (5 and 7). The best part was waking in the morning with the beach outside the room! Clean, remodeled rooms. Great food in the upstairs restaurant (but leaning to pricey -- but not compared to other resaturants with beach views). Easy access to other restaurants -- and Starbucks! Great lounge to catch a drink with floor to ceiling windows to the beach and a fireplace for a bit more ambience. I cannot say enough great things about the hotel! Book it now!
