We had a great stay even though there was construction. The hotel was filled with smiles on all the staff even though there was a little noise. I would stay here again and even though it was noisey, it still one of the best romantic getaways so far! You should stay there!

We stayed here 3 times 2 nights each. We had ocean view on 3rd level. The "ocean view" on 1st floor is obstructed by the sea wall so do ask for 2nd or high ocean view floor. We loved this place, but I most say the rooms I had were SO SMALL yet my mom who asked for 2 beds had an ocean view room that was twice the size of mine and we paid the exact same! The restaurant was delicious and the staff so kind! The pool was large and clean. The second time we stayed they were working on the walk way so in front of my room was debris and it was unsightly and they had a door into the inside hall way taped off so we had to double back to get into the hotel. I did NOT like the "resort and parking fee's" beware of "incidental" charges.

When we checked in, the hostess offered to combine our rooms but instead of upgrading the first two nights, she downgraded the last night with no adjustment to the cost. We had a tiny room right next to the elevator, the housekeeping room, and a main exit from the lobby area. It was extremely noisy. Also the "Brand New" window screen did not match the window width so there was a 2 inch gap with viewing directly to the sink outside the bathroom. I fixed the gap myself with an extra sheet. There was some construction noise while we were getting ready the first day. The next morning the hammering from above started at 7:11 am!!! I complained each morning. At no time did they offer a better room. I was disappointed and complained again at check out. I was assured I would get a phone call to discuss the situation -- it has been 6 days now and we have not heard anything. After reading all the reviews, it is apparent that Best Western does not read these and that there is definitely a customer service issue there. Too bad, the location is wonderful!!! The restaurant is excellent too.

First, they hold you over a barrel with a $ parking fee to park in their lot. Where else can you park? No where! Second, they tell you that there might be a $ per person surcharge.....why they just don't add that "extra" into the room rate, I don't understand. When we got there, that $ magically turned into $. I thought that I was getting a great rate, but for what we ended up paying, I could have gotten a nicer room somewhere else. Then, there was no wifi. They said that they had it, when we checked in, I asked. They said yes, you can log in from your room. Five minutes later, in the room, it won't work. I call downstairs and they tell me that they have been having problems with it. It is working in the lobby area, if I would like to go down there. Uh...No, I want it in the room, where you told me it would be! I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. (so glad that we only booked one night and were able to move on) Oh, and the safe in the room kept swinging open and bashing us in the head......not fun either.

The snarky help refused to book me in to the ocean-view room I had requested and paid for, and only acquiesced when I presented the travel agency documentation they demanded. Once provided, they moved me to a crappy room in a high traffic area that was only technically what I had reserved. I don't know what qualifies someone for good rooms and service here, but a travel agency booking appears to qualify you for the opposite of that. $10 per day parking fee not disclosed at reservation or check-in - not that I would have been in a position to do anything about it at that point, anyway. When tasked about it, I was told, "travel agency gives us all kinds of problems." Furthermore, this is only a resort in the absolute most tenuous interpretation of the term. Someone with higher standards will very likely be as appalled as I was.
