Room was ample and could easily have fit queen beds instead of doubles. Bathroom was worn and a little depressing. Breakfast was surprisingly generous and a fine start to the day. Location was perfect for us just a few blocks from everything. Unfortunately the desk staff were not truly interested in "service". I was coming down with the flu and wanted to check in an hour early but they refused to allow it even though we came with another couple that we checked in before who could. When I called with our friends with us the staff said no I couldn't check in but our friends could if they were willing to come in person, before anybody had even signed in! Same rate same everything. The staff just appeared obtuse and couldn't be bothered to do any paperwork.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Victorian Inn. Great location with a short 2 block walk to Cannery Row with great stores and restaurants as well as the Monterey Aquarium. They put out a nice free breakfast as well. Highly recommended!!!!!

A nice hotel within easy walking distance to Cannery Row but away from the crowds of that area. Easy to get to downtown Monterrey within 5-10 minutes. Had a second floor room with a balcony, but the view was essentially to a lot across the street. The working fireplace was a nice addition, and the hot breakfast had a selection that should meet most person's needs. The staff was quite willing to help with directions and recommendations.

We stayed in the family suite with 3 kids and the room was fantastic, just what we were looking for, nice and roomy. Victorian Inn is a block from Cannery row and a couple minutes from anyplace else. We love it here and we prefer to stay here when we visit Monterey.
