This is my second time at this hotel. It's in a great location. The price is right. The room has a microwave and refrigerator. This is great for keeping some snacks and breakfast items! The room is mostly clean - it's as clean as hotel rooms in a moderately priced hotel are in general. I wouldn't eat off the floor, but I wouldn't be frightened of fungus either. The staff was very friendly. We checked in on Christmas Day late at night. They were still smiling. We called for directions and a phone number to See's Candies- they were fast and friendly. The restaurant is also good. There are different specials each night and a great happy hour. There are other reviews which talk about how the hotel is fairly loud. I don't totally agree or disagree. I could hear the garbage trucks each morning around 7am, but because I was on vacation and relaxed, I was always able to fall asleep again.

Fully enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. Very well maintained - love the courtyards and flowers. Staff is friendly and the location is terrific - within walking distance to Old Town which has good restaurants and shops. Although there are elevators, this place is for those who enjoy walking - lots of stairs at the hotel and locale is hilly. Only complaint is the pillows which are hard and uncomfortable. Will definitely return.

Although the rooms need renovation, they are clean and the beds were the most comfortable ones that I have ever slept in while on vacation. The grounds are immaculate, the staff very friendly and accomodating. Great location for walking around Old Town. We could easily have stayed a few more days. Will definitely recommend the Hacienda!

We just stayed on March 5th and found the place to be over priced and had lots of street noise. They charge extra $5.00 for newspapers and water, no papers in earlier am and two little water bottles in room, these are fees that are tacted on no matter what. If you want to park in the garage for the guests its another $14. so its free parking if you can find a place on the street somewhere and hope your vehicle doesnt get broken in to. We would never stay there again...

We like everything about it, expect for the unexpected fees. Five dollars to cover the extras (bottled water that we didn't drink; internet access and something else I can't remember). Doesn't sound like much, but then there was the * dollars to park. We could have parked free accross the street, but then we'd have to bring the luggage a long way and it was dark and we were tired. The hotel itself was very nice and the room was spacious. We stayed on an upper floor that had an open courtyard with tables and chairs and a barbeque. Wished we'd had time to enjoy it all. We were only there for the night, but I'd like to go back.
