Clean, comfortable rooms. Staff friendly and helpful even when I asked stupid questions (according to my wife all my questions are stupid). Good location for WAC basketball tournament and easy freeway on and off access. Gives you inside connections to the Eldorado and Circus Circus. At checkout was charged a $3.00/day spa/resort fee which was annoying. Why didn?t they include it in the price or say something at check in?

OK so the Silver Legacy is really two different stories. First is the common areas. The restaraunts and clubs are cool and the mining dome is really something you have to see. The second story are the rooms. First they are decorated like my grandmother's house in ""Victorian"" style. Secondly, I swear they haven't been touched in the 13 years they have been open. So in short, best common area in Reno for dining and clubs, worst casino hotel rooms in Reno (although I have never stayed at Cel Neva).

I decided to take my Fiance to The Silver Legacy for our anniversary to celebrate, go to the Comedy Club, gamble a bit, eat out, and have a day at the spa. Our stay at The Silver Legacy lived up to everything that I expected, and more. Its located within walking distance from the a nicely developed river area, many restaurants, and attractions. It's a quick cab ride away from event venues, the convention center, and is moderately close to the only Chinese bakery in Reno (Honey Bakery). All great benefits in my book!

The first room we were given had a missing lamp shade and had leaked a substantial amount of water from a leaky toilet. The replacement room we were given was obviously either a smoking room, or a room that had been converted from smoking to non-smoking. Father has asthma and the smoky/musty smell did ""wonders"" for his lungs and breathing. Their front desk staff flat out told me, my dad, and my uncle that our business was not important to them, and we could check out and leave at any time. Unfortunately, on line agency wants you to work with the property to try and make amends rather than just allow you to move hotels. I will never stay there again, and I will specifically go out of my way to tell people to stay somewhere else. It was a horrible experience.
