Needs update,but good stay.

When you stay at the newly renovated "Atlantis" hotel,then stay at "The Silver Legacy",it is a little bit of a letdown. Dated and old by compairison. Not that it wasn't clean and comfortable,but just not nearly as nice. We ate at the buffet, 2 Breakfasts and 2 dinners,only because I had won the money in the casino. $12.50 for Breakfast and $21.50 for dinner. Convenient and filling,but very average food for the steep price. Remember the olden days,when you got an adrenaline rush by the sound of clunking coins as you walked onto the casino floor? What fun is it to put paper money into a machine and push a button? They had $5.00 BlackJack tables until 5pm Saturday night.After that,the minimum was $25.00 a hand.No wonder the Nevada gaming industry is tanking. Overall,a pretty good time,but we won't go to Reno more than once a year.We used to go once a month.

Really crowded from a bowling event , had to wait to long to check in. They could have had more clerks to cheek in guests. It was to busy to talk to the hotel staff. The pool needs another entrance instead of going through the shop, and needs to stay open longer. The first shuttle driver was kind of rude, because we didn't have or luggage with us at the time. The second driver from South Africa was a joy to talk to. Hotel could have some more comps on check in that are useable, like 2-1 buffets. Still don't like resort fees, and there is a new downtown hotel tax.

We had nothing to do in Reno, so we checked the hotels around there for fun. We are not smokers and very sensitive to the smell. The SL was one of the cleanest and didn't smell bad. Room was new and nicely decorated. The SL was connected to Circus Circus and El Dorado - It was nice to be able to go to different restaurant.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Silver Legacy Hotel. We were able to enjoy the activities of Circus Circus as well because of the connecting walk ways. As a woman on a trip that consisted primarily of yough wrestling, I found the sauna and steam room to be "heaven." I highly recommed this hotel.

The only thing is my comment is I already pay for my hotel plus I have to pay a resort fee which is already gone up from $8 a day to $12 a day and I don't understand why I have to pay resort fee plus my hotel fee I hope in a feature I don't have to pay for this, I think the resort fee should be included into my room charge, that's all... Except that I think every thing is okay.
