    When we checked in, we were assigned a Queen bed/Smoking. I requested a king no smoking and was changed to that type of room, which was great but when we entered the room, we noticed it was a handicapped room, which was still ok although the shower (only) was really different in that the lip on the shower was only about 1 inch high. I was afraid the water would flood the floor while showering, but it actually drained ok.

    Our hotel room was very old and dated. It had a stale smell and thick dust caked on the carpeted baseboard. The bed was saggy and uncomfortable. The tv was tiny and the remote was dirty. I couldn't sleep because I was uncomfortable with the cleanliness.

    I am a regular visitor to the area - this trip went fine up until the flight back home which was delayed for no reason that Alaska would divulge. The Circus hotel was busy but the staff handled check-in more swiftly than usual. I was surprised that my reservation was for the 'tower' rather than the main hotel. I spent $20/night of my comp dollars to "upgrade" to the main hotel because I have an arthritic knee. The $15 dollar food credit was another disappointment - same old thing - you have to spend $30 to save the $15 - so, useless if you're traveling alone. #Don't know if you could use it for a bottle of wine#. Five of the hotel elevators were working -as well as both the casino floor elevators and escalators - which was an improvement over my last trip. "Karen", a friendly informative drinks server told me that the casino is usually quiet over the Halloween holiday weekend - seemed pretty crowded on Saturday when I was there but walking through the next day it was really quiet! Circus is still the best place around for families with kids. The food is going downhill but that seems to be the usual in the Reno/Tahoe area. When I am at the Circus I generally eat one meal a day from the Deli - sandwiches are very good. Lines can get long at meal times so be ready to wait - these are nice folks but there is no sense of urgency about getting your order to you. BTW - I think their desserts are the same food you get in the restaurants - you can save a couple bucks by having coffee and cake in the deli. One last gripe - I stayed 3 night got only two internet cards. I assume everyone knows there is no FREE internet in the resort. Good hotel - if it's your first stay be sure to ask the folks in reception any questions that occur to you - they have been helpful to me. One last tip - there is road construction going on right now #11/11# so the shuttle trip to the airport is a little longer.

    stayed here for 5 days 4 nights and loved every minute of it. this was a family trip and we had a 5 yr old with us and the motel and staff was able to make the stay fun for her as well. great value for the money and the beds were very comfy. i had a credit card on file to order movies with but for some reason the television system would not let me order any. so one quick phone call to front desk and it was fixed in a jiffy. In short, great stay, great value, lots a fun, clean rooms, very nice!!!
