    Staff at hotel were very pleasant and helpful. Travellers today have come to expect a coffee pot in the room - no coffee pot, no refrig.,no microwave,no CD/movie player. Some of these items are basic amenities in hotels today. This hotel is OK if you want a basic bed and shower and want to pay for current movies. The NQR subway line is just outside the door and Columbus Circle is 5 blocks away. It is a good place to stay from spring to autumn and if there is no heavy snow in the winter.

    My family loved this hotel. we had plenty of room and were close to the subway or short walk to sights. i reccommend this to everyone.

    The location is perfect for Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall and much more. Subway is near as well as good restaurants , except Benash where the food was expensive and not worth half the price.

    Bathroom was tiny, but shower water pressure was great. Upset that coffee isn't complimentary, and charge is $3.00 for a cup in the cafe. No one seemed interested in helping answer questions, aside from bellman. Maid service didn't come while we were gone in the morning(3hrs) and then we felt pressured to leave when maid service knocked on door around 1:30pm. Room in general wasn't worth the money paid. Older hotel, small room even for 2people. Extremely noisy at night into the 3oclock hr from traffic, very sleepless nights. Thin walls, could here conversations in adjoining rooms. Never again!

    This hotel was wonderful. It is in a prime location. A short walk to Times Square, the Empire State Building and Central Park. The staff is just as wonderful. Every employee from the Bellman to the maid to the manager were warm and welcoming. The interior of the hotel has an old school charm and is simply elegant. I felt I was at my home away from home.
