Very good location! Room was small - but comfortable and clean and adequate. Liked the proximity of the restaurants nearby. Liked the bank of computers and printer available to the guests. We were able to check in and print off our boarding passes for the return home. All in all the Wellington turned out to be an excellent choice for us!

The Wellington is a very old hotel and rooms are very small but when in NYC you rarely stay in your room anyway. The staff was very courteous and accomodating. The only major problem was it appeared our linens were not cleaned. We requested clean sheets and a comforter and received it right away. In room coffee would have been nice, a vending machine for snacks and the ice buckets a little more modern. We received ice in a white plastic tub with no liner or lid . In all honesty, we have stayed up the street for the same price in a much more modern room. Probably will not stay at The Wellington again.

Obviously, we loved where this hotel is situated. Super close to the theater district and Central Park, and more importantly, the subway. Still close to the action and lots to do -- Carnegie Deli is across the street. The rooms are tiny and the beds are tiny, but that's expected in small NYC hotels. Our room was clean. This is perfect for people who care more about having fun than sleeping in NYC. Although, I had no trouble sleeping! The only disappointment was the very powerful shower! The pressure was so intense that it hurt! This is seriously the only reason I wouldn't stay again.
