My wife and I were in LV to see Cher, and wanted a decent hotel within walking distance to CP. 4 or 5 hotels, including the MC, fit our price range, and having never stayed there before, we figured we'd take a plunge. We are very fortunate we did! Got there at about 11AM, and within minutes we were checked in and in our room. A reasonable priced upgrade was purchased at the desk, putting us in a Monaco suite. FABULOSO!!! Had a problem with the safe- maintenance was there quickly to resolve it. Requested more towels, since had the whirlpool tub- housekeeping had them there pronto. Security was great, the facility was clean, housekeeping did a fantastic job. Only real problem was a slow sink, but we never called to get that resolved, figuring it was due to construction next door on the new Aria. In the casino, we played mostly black jack, and I played some craps, too. There were three specific dealers that were just a blast to play with. If for no other reason, because of these wonderful ambassadors, we will go back to the Monte Carlo.

I was so disappointed with my recent stay at Monte Carlo. What happened to the customer service?? Don't bother calling front desk because no one seems to answer the phone. This was so annoying when you're trying to request a late check out and you're on the 31st floor. We were promised 2 bottled waters a day and I had to track down maid service to get them because they weren't in our room and again, no one answers the front desk phone. Also had to track down the maid to get a Do Not Disturb sign because it wasn't in the room. We were promised $* drink credits and I just noticed that neither the restaurant nor the hotel honored that credit when they gave us our bill at check out. I used to stay here on business trips and never had a problem but this last stay convinced me that it's time to try other hotels in Vegas.

The hotel overall was okay. The casino was nice and the restaurants were fine. The hotel staff, from the front desk to housekeeping were very nice and always there to help. I was disappointed with a couple of things regarding the hotel. In the room the set up is very tight. The desk and chairs were really not usable to sit at as you could not pull out the chairs. Also the bedspread was old and worn. They need to be replaced badly. The beds themselves were very comfortable. There was construction happing next door which caused alot of noise when you were outside. One night I was was woken up by the construction noise. Also with the new tall buildings now surrounding the pool area the sun time if very short in that area. The pools and the lazy river were very nice and enjoyable. The loud music was horrible that they play over the PA system in the pool area. Even playing my MP3 did not block it out. They need to realize that not everyone likes blasting music.

Definitely a Great Value for the Money! It has nice rooms, a friendly staff, a great location; and even after just a couple of days it is very easy to find your way around the casino floor. If you want a really nice meal (not that they're hard to find in Vegas) I would highly recommend checking out the on-site Andre's. The fabulous French menu is complimented by luxurious surroundings and the perfect table service. Even if you're not a high-roller the staff at this establishment will make you feel like one.

Arrived at hotel to long, lenghy lines - asked several people that had left the check in counter what was causing delays - and it was all about the same item. The Monte Carlo, as well as some of its sister members, have decided to start charging on top of the room, rate, taxes, etc another charge they call "The Mandatory Resort Fee'. This will cost you over * dollars a day, but entiles you to get a copy of a newspaper (Not of your chosing) and two bottles of water. The people I talked with and myself were not pleased at having to pay for the hotels views based on their selection of newspapers to be forced on you. If I wanted a paper, I would buy one. If I want to buy a coke, I am forced to pay for one of the small "Monte Carlo" waters. You are forced to pay for something you might not want, and this charge is not just one time, but for every night you stay. And it is mandatory - Does not include free WI-FI like most other hotels offer. With Free WI-FI, you could get the news from the sources you trust, and save the planet a ton of wasted trees sitting in hotel lobblies.
