As we drove up to the Langham Huntington Hotel & Spa I was immediately impressed. The grandness and the glamore of this historic property had me feeling like I had stepped into a movie and I was the star. Greeted by friendly and courteous valets we began our retreat on a very positive note. Every staff member we dealt with was helpful and professional. The lobby and surrounding areas are beautiful and inviting. I was compelled to simply sit and enjoy the space. The grounds are breathtaking! We enjoyed strolling hand in hand around the property, especially across the picture bridge with its paintings from the 30's and the view of the Japanese Garden. Our room was beyond our expectations! We had a suite and could not have been more pleased. Luxurious bedding, comfortable furniture, and the bath ammenties enhanced our experience. Fabulous robes and slippers allowed us to relax as if we were in our own home. We ordered room service for breakfast and in addition to the high quality of the food, and the delicious coffee, the presentation was delightful. Once again, I felt like a star, or even a princess. We opted to enjoy the pool, and we did enjoy it. The pool attendant even brought us coffee while we were floating in the refreshing water. We will bring tennis attire on our next visit, as the tennis courts were very inviting. Being close to Colorado Avenue and all the restaurants and night life there, was a draw for us.We found however, that we did not want to leave The Langham. We were enjoying it so much that we dined on property. Everything was fantastic! . We fell in love with The Langham and will return at every opportunity.

Hotel is in a very quiet part of town and very easy to find from the highway. The biggest disappointment was that parking is not free and you are required to use the valet at $25 dollars a night. The valet service varied as one day the car would be ready when you stepped downstairs to another time when they were unable to find the car The shower was also dangerous and it changed from hot to cold to no water at all. I was saved from being burned as the water pressured dropped at the same time it turn to scolding hot. The hotel has an odd shape and very difficult to find the rooms. The pool was of decent size and has a onsite grill and bar. The pool was in a shady/cool area and the suites blocked the sun starting around 3:00. Most of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful with an exception of the front desk. I would recommend staying here if you aren't going to be traveling much because it is on the north side of LA and only has two highways into the city.
