I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is clean and has a friendly and professional staff . One of the best selling points is that you walk out the front door and catch the streetcar for $1.25 to Canal Street and all the other attractions. If you don't want to go downtown, you can walk to great restaurants and stores going either direction. Overal, great value and great hotel experience

What a great treat this hotel is. Different from your regular drive up, park outside your room motels, this place had a warm New Orleans flare about it. Once we climbed the narrow stairs to our room and opened the door, a plethera of color greeted us with a nicely redecorated room (just like in the pictures). Small with just the necessities, a quaint room with an excellent air conditioner and firm bed. Secure parking, a huge courtyard area to read and enjoy breakfast and local restaurants including one of Emeril's right across the street all add up to my wife and I planning our next stay in New Orleans.

It was amazing that the hotel was located right on the St. Charles Streetcar line. The hotel staff helped us figure out how to work it. Located near resturants and the hotel breakfast, though simple was great. Only cons were that our toilet had low water pressure.

The rooms and grounds are pleasant and well-kept. The rooms had New Orleans-ish decorations without being gaudy. The pool is great and somehow never too crowded. The staff are helpful and make good suggestions for nearby sightseeing. The St. Charles streetcar is literally across the street, making heading into downtown or to the Garden District a breeze.
