this is not a bad casino/hotel at all no matter what others may say. Yes it is older as are all the casinos on the old strip, but its convenient. The parking is ok, it costs $* to park, but you take your reciept and they give you back your $* so its basically free. The only bad thing about this hotel are the beds. They are a little older and stiffer, and may need to be upgraded, other than that it was good for what i needed, a place to sleep about 5 hours and a shower. The restaurant buffet is ok, it used to be $* but now its about $* but its a brunch buffet and its pretty decent. Gaming is good, poker , 21, and the slots. Everyone was very friendly, from the front desk, to the dealers, to the maitenence people. I would recomend this place for anyone.

It took three trys to get a room card key that worked on our room door and the pool area door. Our room did not get cleaned for two days even though I spoke to housekeeping telling them I wanted it cleaned. We were told that we were not treated the same as individuals that booked directly with them, because we booked through online.

My husband and I were just going down for a little 2 day trip to Vegas. So I got on here and found a cheap hotel. I guess I got what I paid for! Just to let everyone know the 6th floor of the Plaza is disgusting. I think they had water damage or something because the carpet in the hall was disgusting and it smelled so old and moldy. Our room was pretty run down- stains all over the carpet, the drain in the bathroom was very clogged and I just felt gross staying there. Like my title says, the only good thing about the hotel was the cool view of Freemont street. We did walk through the 3rd floor (spa/salon level) and those rooms seemed much better.. they just need to do some major renovations. I probably wont stay there again until I hear they have remodeled all the rooms so I don't run the risk of having to stay on the 6th floor!!!

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days, 3 nights, and loved every minute of my stay here. The staff was courteous, and the room was huge! This was my first stay in Vegas, and the room that was given me was facing Fremont Street Experience. It was great. Loved the casino at this hotel, and when I did get bored, I checked out one of the many other surrounding casino, which added to my experience. I will definitely stay here again!!!

Okay, I've been to vegas before, and stayed in 5 star hotels. This time, I was going to Vegas to spend time with a sister I hadnt seen in 12 years. So, last minute we booked the plaza at a great rate. I read all the horrible reviews of the hotel after we booked, and my wife and I expected the worse. BUT IT WAS AWESOME. They booked us a room on the 9th floor, and THE FREEMONT STREET EXPERIENCE was lit up, right off our balcony. The Hotel staff was HELPFUL, NOT RUDE, and the Garage has video cameras ans security at both ends. YES, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR...the elevators are a bit old, and the carpets a bit dirty, but HEY- Weve been in alot of other casinos, the Paris, treasure island, the bellagio- and the dirt on the carpet is FROM ALL THE VEGAS traffic. You cant blame that. We even brought our 5 year old son, and the Freemont Street light show and welcoming storefront was inviting to him as well. Well post pics if we can. My sister had to check into the "ritzy" Paris the next night for business, and she kept calling me back in AZ and telling me she had the most fun At the PLAZA in old VEGAS. Enjoy your stay here.! WE did!
