I stayed at Planet Hollywood for 3 ights in June 2011 and enjoyed my stay. I liked the hotel and easy access to the strip. I found the staff to be helpful and friendly. It is a largely a younger crowd (under 50) but not out of hand. Music plays continually in the casino, halls and elevators, but not so so loud as to get old or be obnoxious. I couldn't hear the music in my room with the door shut. The standard room is not large but it's nice and comfortable. You can get from your room to anywhere in the hotel or onto the strip relatively quickly (it's large but not huge). Has a large pool area that's a few floors up with 2 pools that are pretty active. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for people bringing young children, but teenagers would probably enjoy it.

On our recent vacation to Las Vegas we stayed at Planet Hollywood. The service was great by staff but had to minor inconveniences that might help others make a decision on there stay here. Firstly the shower for some reason takes in excess of 10 mins for water to come out hot. I literallly turned on the water then used restroom and shaved and actually had to wait another few minutes as water was just getting warm. The second problem was the way the room is layed out the television runs parallel to the lift side of the bed so in order to lay in bed and confortably watch tv we had to lay with our heads at the foot of the bed. In other words the tv was not in the front of the beds but rather to the side. This may not bother most people but I need the tv to fall asleep so this was very bad.

I took my mom here for her 50th birthday and was a little worried the younger crowd would scare her away. There were people of all ages, but definitely with higher emphasis on mid 20's-mid 30's. The line was long to check in, but it went pretty quickly. I asked about an upgrade, but it was a bit more than i was willing to spend, so we stuck with our standard room. When we got to our room, the carpets must have just been cleaned because it smelled a bit musty in there and when we took off our shoes, the carpet was still wet. We told the front desk and they immediately switched our room and even upgraded it for free to a "strip view" room. The rest of the time there we enjoyed the casino, restaurants, and staff who worked there. Beware of them trying to give you free tickets to a show, because they are actually trying to sell you the new Planet Hollywood time shares, but would imagine any place would do that. All in all, we had a great time and a 50th birthday my mom will never forget!

Great experience at this hotel the staff is very friendly. Hotel rooms starting to show their age but were comfortable. The location is perfectly located on the Las Vegas strip. Good restaurants located just outside the hotel.
