The hotel was great, clean and very welcoming. Check in and check out were a breeze. Everyone that I encountered were very friendly. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It was also a plus that the Mircle Mile Mall is attached to Planet Hollywood and the shops are open until 11:00pm each nite.

Friendly staff, not too fancy
07/11/2011Everything was perfect as planned. i would definitely recommend using the 1/2 price ticket places around hotel, we got lots of good deals that way.

I was driving across the country to Los Angeles with two friends and we decided to stay at Planet Hollywood for one night to relax and have a good time after a long road trip. Should have kept going to our final destination instead. The recession must have hit this hotel and Las Vegas in general hard because their mode of operation these days appears to be cramming the hotel up to the gills with tourists and then extracting as much money as possible out of every single one of them by means of various fees, overpriced food, watered down drinks and shows that feel about as real as a $10 Rolex. The rooms were modern, clean and spacious though, and the beds comfortable. The location used to be good before the glass and steel monstrosity across the Strip dwarfed the iconic Bellagio and everything else around. The service was mediocre at best with long lines everywhere - no surprise there given the guest to overworked hotel employee ratio. Overall, it beats me why anyone would make Las Vegas their vacation destination. Go to places it is poorly trying to imitate instead.
