Located in the north of Madeira in the Municipality of Sao Vicente, Estalagem do Vale has emerged from the renovation and extension of an 18th century manor house with great historical value, all while maintaining the shape of the original house. The inn has 41 comfortable rooms with private bathroom with bath, shower and hairdryer, mini-bar, in-room safe, direct-dial telephone, internet access, cable television, hot/cold air conditioning, background music and a balcony. One of the rooms has been specially designed for the disabled. In the wine cellar -Croque- and the restaurant -Caramujo- you can enjoy old traditional dishes from the North coast of Madeira, as well as national and international dishes. In the coziness of our bar -As Sete Fontes- you can enjoy the breath-taking views, whilst having a nice cup of tea with local cakes or just enjoy a refreshing cocktail by the pool. During your stay you can enjoy a game of croquet or bowling, try out our mini-golf course, visit our health club or take a walk in the forest -Laurissilva- along one of the many levada. In the evenings, you can read a book chosen from our library, play a game of draughts or chess, have a conversation by the fireplace or just take a stroll to one of our viewpoints to admire the stars in the sky and listen to the sounds of the crickets. Due to the new motorways and express routes, the Capital Funchal is now only 25 minutes drive away and the Airport 35 minutes.
