  On the positive: We chose CI&S because they offer queen-sized beds in rooms with two beds. This hotel was alright- just not great. I'd give it a 'C'. On the negative: The dining area for breakfast felt cramped. A big sceen tv in the same dining area obviously needed repair....and then featured the Fox news! No one wants to wake up in the morning being made to listen to what is (widely known to be) a slanted news network. A hotel chain has to be able to think past their own political agendas to offer their guests (of many persuasions) a relaxed and politic-free experience. Finally, bed comforters were extremely heavy & uncomfortable - isn't Connecticut...we''re in Florida! It's back to the Marriott for us! There are better places to stay- even in Gainseville - find them.

  I would have easily rated this hotel 5*'s. However, there was one large downside to my experience here - the window! The staff was very friendly, the beds were extremely comfortable, there was a refrigerator and microwave, and the TV had HBO. The bathroom was very clean and had a nice touch - a separate speaker funneling in from the TV! The computer room only has one computer but it's open 24 hours, no one was using it whenever I wanted to and it is free. I didn't try the pool but if it's heated, that's pretty cool. I have not tried the breakfast yet but it's always been good. I have not tried it for one reason - I am still at the hotel and it is about 5 am and I am wide awake. I don't know if this is common knowledge but there is an inner curtain. My window allowed huge floodgates of light from the parking lot before I called the concierge to find out about the inner curtain. I didn't realize this until 4 am and I couldn't get back to sleep. Otherwise, great hotel. I'll know better next time.

  The hotel staff was very friendly. Our suite was very comfortable, had wireless internet, and nice pillows. Bathroom was clean. The breakfast was really good with lots of choices including omelettes. Sits right next to Cracker Barrel and is located in a very convenient location...within easy reach were several restaurants, a drug store, movie theaters etc.
