  My husband and I stayed at the Hampton Inn the first week in Oct., 2009. The service was awesome. The staff could not have been nicer. The hotel and grounds were beautiful. The room was large and extremely comfortable. we had an oceanfront room with a balcony. the balcony was private and the view of the ocean over the dunes was very relaxing. With just a short walk, we were on a beautiful, unspoiled beach that was never crowded. Every morning a great breakfast with just about anything you could want awaited us in the lobby. A gentleman by the name of __ was the host; and he made sure everyone got a great start to their day with a big smile, kind words, and attention to our every need. The old city is only about 5 minutes away. It was nice to be able to get to the old city so quickly; but then be able to leave for the peace and quiet of our beach hotel at the end of the day. We would recommend this spot to anyone; and will definitely visit there again.

  We were interested in the beach at Vilano and this hotel is just across the street. It was elegant, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The free hot breakfast offered a wide variety including eggs, sausage, pastries, cereal, other breads, juices, coffee and tea. The pool was smaller but lovely, with lush landscaping. For those interested in exploring historic St. Augustine, it is just across the bridge. No restaurant on site other than the breakfast buffet, but Two-Can Terry's was just across the street offering a variety of seafood, burgers and sandwiches.

  We spent one night at the hotel but it was just as we expected. Hampton hotels have always been our favorite because of their cleanliness, their free all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet, and their friendly staff. This hotel is located right next to a very nice, clean beach. The only drawback I could possibly think of is that there are some ""cheaper"" motels right next to it. I would definitely stay here again.

  This was a great hotel! It was exceptionally clean. The staff at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. There were able to call for a shuttle to take us across the bridge and right to the location to hop on the train for a city tour. The breakfast was a great way to start the day. The beach was literally on the other side of the parking lot! I would highly reccomend this hotel to anyone and hope to stay there again in the future!!!!

  Don't be put off by the location- this hotel is in the PERFECT spot for your trip to St. Augustine! My family wanted a quick getaway from Jacksonville to visit all the historical sites in this beautiful city, and we found this hotel to be one that had received rave reviews. Well, it definitely lived up to all expectations! The staff was warm, welcoming and attentive, although we had no problems to speak of! The room was spacious and comfortable, and we were travelling with our 1 year old son who recently learned to walk so he loved being able to have lots of room to run. The breakfast was delicious, and it was a nice touch to have a warm cookie get together in the lobby nightly (although hard to resist on the new years resolution diet!!). Being on Vilano Beach was quite and away from the city bustle, as well. I wouldn't stay anywhere else and I can't wait to return!!!
