  I was just on vacation July 18-23 and enjoyed my stay here very much. You cannot beat the location, one block from the beach and subway in the lobby was a bonus. I would definitely stay here again without reservation. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly - my overall hotel experience here was great.

  I was pleasantly suprised by this place! The location was great, as I was originally planning on staying further south in the action. There is a good italian restaurant 2 blocks away, and an AMAZING breakfast place about 3 blocks away. The staff led me to everything I wanted to see and do and was very helpful. The room was pretty basic, but had a small refrigerator and radio which was very good too. Overall it was very worth the money.

  I am really weird about hotel rooms when I travel, and I even read up on this hotel before booking our reservation, and I should have gone with my first impression, we hated this hotel. I will share the good and the bad: Good: The hotel is very close to the beach/boardwalk. There are a few carry out's within walking distance where you can purchase beer, smokes, snacks, etc. Most of the staff encountered were pleasant. The bus stops right out front of the hotel, $2.00 each way and we used it several nights to go towards South Beach, find dinner, etc. Bad: The room was very small, and not very clean, outdated. Window was cracked and very dirty, no window screens. Bed was very uncomfortable. Comforter set was old and tattered, including the covered pillows. Linens need to be replaced. Room only included a bed and one chair (forcing one of us to always sit on the bed) Very Small refrigerator did not keep beverages very cold. No Hot water. Only issued one set of towels at a time, I went down at one point and requested an additional set of towels and was told that I needed to bring down used towels in order to get any additional. (But there are two of us???) Low water pressure in the shower and toilet. Sink in bath did not drain well. Stairwells were filthy. Elevator was small and creepy. Alarm Clock didn't work. We made the mistake of getting a rental car, there is limited access to parking meters near the hotel. Your options are to drive around until a meter becomes available (based on the distance to the beach, spots don't open up at all) If you are lucky enough to get one, you have to continuously feed the meter every couple of hours. We ended up parking in a garage a block or so away at $25.00 per day and just used the bus instead. I guess if you are a big ""Subway"" fan, the strong stench of the restaurant in the hotel lobby wouldn't be a big deal, personally I don't care to see a Subway anytime in the near future. The only thing near the Ocean Spray is the Beach and other hotels, however the bus runs often and allows for a cheap and safe excursion. Local calls are not free. Overall, I was not able to fully enjoy my Stay in Miami primarily because I was not comfortable with this hotel. I would not suggest it!

  My wife and I stayed at Ocean Spray during Memorial Day weekend. We booked a standard room. When we arrived back to Miami from our cruise in the Bahamas @ 10am we were told we couldn't check in to the hotel till 3pm so we just walked around the boardwalk. Then we came back and saw our room, it was one twin size bed for 2 people!..Thank g-d my wife is a petite person. The bathroom was clean though, and soo was the room. There was a ""hip hop"" festival that weekend, so there was ALOT of noise all night long. They also have no pool, but the beach is down the street, so no biggie. The other thing is that they tell you they serve a continental breakfast for free, and yet its $3 and its in the Subway restaurant inside the hotel. If we ever come back to Miami Beach, It would probably be wise to pay a little more and go with the Best Western across the street or one of the other hotels, as the motto goes ""you get what you pay for"".

  Everyone here is so kind. They went out of their way to make me comfortable on my stay. I was in town on medical reasons and needed a lot more attention than the usual guest, but they had no problem helping. The Subway in the lobby was very convenient, as I did not feel up for going out for a fancy dinner every night. I feel I got what I paid for and more. I reserved a queen room, but was actually put in a king room at no charge. The room was large, with a walk in closet and had free internet. This place is very comfortable and convenient to Mt Sinai.
