  We just spent 8 days at the Sea Castle. We enjoyed every day of it. The hotel was as we expected, it was clean and nice. The staff was courteous. They responded to our requests immediately. We had 6 people in our room and the cleaning staff did there very best to keep our room looking nice. Somewhere in the information I received it said free breakfast, we were counting on that, but there was no breakfast served. That would be my only complaint. If we came back to that area of Florida , we would stay there again.

  We were very dissatisfied with our room at this hotel. It was advertised as a studio suite, but had been converted from their office into a room. The room was tiny with very poor lighting. There were only 3 lights in the room. There was NO light over the sink in the kitchenette making it impossible to see unles you opened the window curtain. The closet was barely big enough to hand your clothes. The floors were dirty and you didn't want to walk around on them without shoes or socks on. The bathroom was also tiny so only 1 person at a time could fit in it. The faucet on the tub leaked. We have stayed at this Best Western before, but this was not up to their standards. Their parking is another problem. There were few spaces and it was difficult to get in and out of their parking lot. You had to back into a constant flow of traffic. It is not designed for the huge vehicles that people drive.

  All staff are friendly and nice. The room was old and somewhat worn but clean enough with newer mattresses and a small functional kitchen (not kitchennete) and a very clean bathroom/linens. Located on the beach, but not next to a public beach so it wasn't crowded and mostly had hotel visitors. Pool is smaller but recently updated. Great access to attractions, but on the island so less conjested than clearwater beach (about 10 minutes away). My wife's opinion was slightly lower as we had been staying in fancier places for the previous 2 weeks so don't be fooled this is not upscale, but simply a great location with great staff at a great price.

  This was a super friendly place to go.The lady that checked us in was very helpful.All the staff was nice too.The view was great,the sunset was the BEST!! Even though it was a small walk to the beach it was just like all the other hotels in the area. I was able to see the ocean from my bedroom window though :) I would recommend staying here.It was a great for the price!I hope to be a reoccurring customer!

  I was extremely disappointed. Within 1 hour of checking in, we checked out. There was a smell in the lobby and in the room that I could not get past. It smelled heavy of chemicals which I think was used in order to cover up other smells. The room did not look at all like the pictures on the internet. Very small - if you turned around too fast, you might bump into yourself. There were stains on the rug, grout between the tiles was black and there were stains on the couch as well. Many of the floor tiles were broken. Although it was on the beach side, it was nearly 1/4 mi walk to reach the water (all you saw from the hotel was sand - no water view). The doors on the rooms were pretty banged up and very dirty. I did not feel safe and was prepared to sleep in our rental car if they were not willing to cancel our reservation without charging us. The only up-side was the friendliness of the woman in the lobby. We quickly checked out and stayed down the road (at Sunset Vista) which was well worth the extra money. I have learned that if the deal seems to be too good to be true - it is! I would not recommend this place, nor would I EVER consider staying here.
