    Dirty and very old. Asked to move to another hotel. Hotel people were very rude, changed rooms 2 times, 1st room non-smoking you did not even want to walk into, 2nd try someone from the hotel came in the room around 4am. Moved to the Excailbur the next morning.

    I just got back from vegas and stayed here. What a joke the first morning I got up to go to NACE, turned on the shower and started to brush my teeth and tasted something funny. looked down and the water was a rust color. The boiler went out no hot water, a mouth full of rust, I couldnt even wrince out my mouth. Called the front desk and they were very rude, telling me ( well the hotel is 59 years old) I thought wt kind of anwser is that. And for sure dont gamble there never saw anyone win anything I got 80 yes 80 free spins playing $* to get back $* couldnt believe it. THIS PLACE IS NOTHING BUT A BIG JOKE!!!

    When I first booked my room in the "Island Tower" I thought I was getting a steal. Now I think I just got a good price. In this town, you get what you pay for. I have to say this was the first time I've ever actually slept in a bed with a mirror on the ceiling. And the headboard. And the side. I was afraid to look underneath, for fear that I would find another mirror or Moe Green's eyeball. Walking down the hallway that smelled of fresh skunk, I half expected to see Sharon Stone stumble out of one of the rooms and fall down as "House of the Rising Sun" played in the background. My room even featured a "next time you stay here, your room will look like this" remodeling announcement. Great move on your part, Trop! It needs it. Baaaad. I will say this: the Tropicana has one rockin' swimming pool. And the hotel is right on one of the most popular corners on the strip. You really can't find a much better price. Stay in the Paradise Tower (the one connected to the casino) if you can - the rooms are in better shape. If you end up in the rear tower, just look at it as a vintage Vegas experience.

    Upon arrival at the hotel I liked the overall look of the hotel and the location was nice. South LV strip, what does that mean, it means u have to walk a bit to get to the Bellagio and Ceasars but its not unrealistic or too much of a hassle. But upon arrival there was no one to help with my bag or open the door, my booked room was undergoing work so I received a free upgrade, but there was still no one to help with my bag to the room or little direction to the room. The room which was a 16th floor room overlooking the strip had a nice view, but it could of been better, the rug was dirty, so was the chair. There were spot stains on the sheets (horrible) and the window could of been clean, especially if its a 16th floor room with a view of the strip (people are going to keep looking thru the window) Besides the aforementioned, the hotel/resort was nice, i'm sure it would be better in the summer because the pool/jacuzzi could be utilized better. The buffet was good and inexpensive. However the spanish salsa music motivates you to leave the hotel soon to find suitable entertainment outside. The bar seemed to almost never be opened, which sucked. Overall I'd stay here again if I want to save some cash and skip the glamour, or if its summer and I really plan on utilizing the pool some. Hotel staff was helpful for the most part 2.

    The hotel did not provide any cable tbs for the baseball game between the rockies and phils, front desk told me they did have game on chanel 3 which was not correct, will never stay at the trop again, also fees and service I never pay that any other hotels,
