  This motel was a nice affordable option for a family of 5. It is not a fancy place, but still clean and had lots of room. It is nice to have a kitchen and coffee pot. Although we did not use the kitchen, we enjoyed having the fridge for refreshments and the microwave for popcorn. Our only complaint would be that there was no tv in the bedroom. The beach is little bit of a walk, but not far at all. I would stay there again.

  Our room smelled awful. The toliet was clogged from the second we got there, it smelled like sewage. The shower was filthy and the drain was plugged, so as you showered the tub filled with gross stuff rom the drain. The floors look like they never washed them. And for the beds, you could probably find cardboard that was softer. And it really isn't right on the beach. the parking was horrendous, we couldn't even find a parking spot at the hotel.

• Bug infested

  We went on vacation sept 11 stayed there and found cockroaches in the room crawling on the beds and on the luggage i guess you could say its a roach ...

  We went on vacation Sept 11 stayed there and found cockroaches in the room crawling on the beds and on the luggage I guess you could say its a roach motel they check in but don't check out,but any way i carried the dead roach up to the front desk in a tissue and told them we had a problem ,and showed it to them and thre response was well after all you are in Florida and there are bugs here, i demanded my money back i think the only reason they gave it back to me was because there was group in the lobby area and they did'nt want to argue with me or they did'nt want them to know about the cockroaches,oh yea they also tried to apease me by wanting to send someone to the room to exterminate,I asked them if they were crazy i just wanted my refund so i could get the heck out of there !!!! I warn every oner please don't stay there.

  Large spacious rooms with wonderful gardens. I loved eating breakfast in my room. The beds were very comfortable. It is just very family friendly. Watched the shuttle from the beach. Some rooms are beach side, but I was staying just short walk across the road from the beach. Plenty of area to cook and party inside or out. GREAT LOCATION! Close to everything.

  There is always some consternation in booking a motel/hotel in a city that you haven't ever visited before. Will it be nice? Will it be located where I want to be? The Beach Front Wakulla experience was in a word WONDERFUL. The check in time was listed as 4:00PM which I thought was a little later than normal but OK. We arrived a little after noon hoping to be able to get the room and get to the beach. When we arrived, the desk clerk was very nice and said she would do what she could. She was able able to upgrade us from our reserved room to a poolside room for the same price. Wow I thought. Then I saw the room they gave us. It was a two bedroom suite (they are all suites here). To say this room was huge is an understatement. The room was fabulous. The property is a little older but it is well cared for and we had no problems at all with any of the facilities at the property. The walk from our room to the private beach was a little more than 100 yards but we were on the end of the property away from the beach. I have never written a review before but I was so impressed with the value of this property that I felt compelled to do so.
