We have stayed in almost every hotel in the tallahassee area at one time or another. We visit family several times a year. We have stayed in the cheapest to the Hiltons. Never have we experienced such extremely over the top customer service and friendliness from every staff member. Always a smile and a hello. 10 minutes after getting in our room, the desk clerk called to make sure the room was to our satisfaction. Even the night sec guard (a young man), passing by the pool asked if it was warm enough and wished us a good evening. I was soooo impressed. These days customer service is mediocre at best. The pool and hot tub were great. Hot tub just hot enough and pool just warm/cool enough. Pool area was beautiful. So nicely landscaped, never felt u were in a big city. The Breakfast buffet was superb (bacon, sausage, eggs etc). M-TH free happy hour 5:30-7:30pm. All the beer, wine and soft drinks you care to enjoy. Every detail was made for a wonderful stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. Room beautifully decored, spotless, great shower. Cant say a negative thing and I am veryyyy picky! And the price was amazing. Under $*night for such luxury and pampering. Cant beat it!!!

We were there the week-end before new year. The place is right off I-10, easy for in and out. There are few restaurants around, Shells & Exxon are near by. Few light poles give reasonable light to cover the hotel's parking lot (not too bright so you can go to sleep). we feel very safe (2 adults, 2 toddlers). The pool is heated for those who want to take a swim in the middle of the night. There is also a 6 persons jacuzzi (sp?). The hot breakfast in the morning is good (i'm not a picky eater). I would stay here next time again. T.

I thought the rooms were nice. Mine was a smoking room and I appreciated that there are still rooms allotted for that. The staff was very friendly and housekeeping was excellent. I enjoyed having some workout equipment on site, but for a "3 star" motel, I was suprised at the scant amount of equipment to choose from. I really liked that there were washer/dryer units down the hall. This is third time I have stayed at the Wingate and I am sure I will stay there again.

04/06/2007Enjoyed our stay, hotel and room was very clean, quiet, plenty of close parking, free breakfast, happy hour, newspaper, staff was courteous. we will stay here again!
