The 18-acre, beachfront Kapalua Bay Hotel is situated near the northwest tip of Maui, a 20-minute drive from Lahaina Town, and approximately 36 miles from Kahului Airport. By car, the hotel is 35 minutes from the Maui Ocean Center (aquatic park), 50 minutes from Iao Valley State Park (rainforest and museum), 60 minutes from Hookipa Beach Park (surfing) and Makena State Park, 90 minutes from Makawao (cowboy town), and two hours from the Haleakala volcano crater. This location is also four miles from Kapalua West Maui Airport. Hotel amenities include 18-hole golf course, Beach Activity Center (featuring snorkeling, scuba lessons, and catamaran sails), Gardenia Court, Lehua Lounge, and Plumeria Terrace. The hotel also offers dinner delivery service from local restaurants, a concierge, complimentary parking, and shuttle transportation to three tournament golf courses. All rooms feature light-wood furnishings, ceiling fans, tiled lanais, coffeemakers, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards, individual climate control, clock radios, safes, in-room movies, and cable TV.
The hotel will be closed for a complete repositioning of the resort, from April 7, 2006 until December 31, 2008. No rooms will be available during construction.
