I arrived at 4 p.m and there are only 5 cars in the entire motel. They assigned a ground floor suite facing the alley. The room is next to the laundry room with the dryer roaring with linen exhaust right next to my front door. I ask the front desk clerk to switch to a different room. He refused and told me the lanndry room will be quet shortly and he has no other rooms that he can switch me to . How can it be? It is Friday afternoon in September, the hotel is mostly empty. The point is not that the room will be quiet by ngiht, but that fact that I am here and I am not happly with the room at the time I checked in. the room is dirty and washroom floor is soiled. the chair is soiled. there is only one chair in the entire room for a room that sleeps two. I will not stay in the HJ ever again.

If you like filthy floors, toilet, coffee maker and sinky beds, this is the place for you! We went to make tea the evening we got there and the coffee maker was not cleaned since the last time. Spilled a bit of tea on the floor and wiped it up (wood flooring) and it was filthy! No kleenex at all and the shower was plugged so you had to stand in a puddle of water while you showered....I hate that!

We were in Kamloops for our grandson's graduation and we ended up with 3 rooms. Our room 219 was an awful disappointment as were the other 2 rooms (218, 217)that were occupied by our grandchildren. It looks nothing like the pictures that you see on the website. The TV was very small not like in the pics. The bathroom was disgusting. The microwave sat on the floor beside the bed. The bedspreads were stained. There were lots of extension cords and wires bunched together under the sidetable. My granddaughter had booked 2 rooms. The room for my grandson was suppose to be 2 queen size beds and he ended up with 2 dbl beds but had to pay the same price anyways. We all paid $250.20 for 2 nights for each room and my grandson decided to stay an extra 2 nights and it only cost him $187.00 for 2 nights on the weekend. I always thought it was more money to stay at hotels on weekends. I am going to send an email to Howard Johnson and let them know about this hotel because we normally stay at HJ and this is the 1st time we have been disappointed.
