No hotel sign to guide you in!

After driving approximately 8 hours in a very small cramped Focus, we drove right past the turnoff to the hotel twice. When we phoned for directions, it did not help other than we went past the turnoff. My son had guidance on his cellular phone which helped us find the hotel eventually. The beds were quite comfortable for sleep but I was dismayed to find that there was no coffee, creamer etc set out in our room even though there was a coffee pot. Front desk was efficient but not overly friendly. They need a proper sign or at least say they are next to "such and such" hotel who do have a sign. Or make the old highway sign bigger so it can be seen.
