• Close to mass transit, not close to much else

  There are not many cool attractions with in walking distance; two city blocks in front of the hotel are under construction. Many buildings and store fronts are empty around the hotel. The hotel staff was not very knowledgeable about the area; they did not make the extra effort to be friendly to guests. The grout in the bath tub was discolored and the water did not drain properly when showering. We could hear other guests talking in the next room and in the hall way, the rooms were not well sound proofed. The cable car runs every 15 minutes north and south and is a great way to get around the max, 4 blocks north takes people east and west. I did not drive for 3 days, public transportation took us where we needed to go or we walked. Hotel parking is way over priced, park in the lot one block west for $5 a day versus $28 at the hotel. The goodwill on 10th has some great finds at bargain prices. The button emporium on Taylor and 10th is great too.

  The beds were absolutely awful!!! like sleeping on the concrete. the pillows were the baby size pillows. i could hardly sleep at all, very, very uncomfortable!

  This hotel has average rooms, but everything else is fantastic! It's a block from the max line (easy access to airport) and within walking distance to shops, food, bars, concert hall, movies and museums.
