  This is a wonderfull place to stay! The rooms are spacious. Fridge and microwave. VERY quiet. Never heard any planes. Never heard the neighbors. I even asked the next morning if there were any neighbors, as it was so quiet all night,and the friendly service desk said that I did have people next door. The marina is a few blocks away for a nice stroll. (And for dinner...Wallys Chowder House, just two blocks away, is fabulous! Best chowder! Friendly wait staff.) We were very happy with this inn.

  This is a gem of a find. If you live too far from the airport to make your morning flight, airport hotels are expensive and often noisy - with other passengers up at all times of the night and street noise, not to mention being under the flight path! Quiet Des Moines puts you right to sleep at the Marina Hotel. In the morning, don't expect much from the breakfast bar, but checkout was a snap, and we were at the airport in 10 minutes!! No traffic to speak of. Highly recommended, easy to find.
