  I recently stayed at this hotel and it was a truly awesome experience! From the second I checked in the staff was warm and welcoming and let me know they had checked my room before my arrival to be sure everything was perfect. They even adjusted the temperature to make sure I would be comfortable when I checked in. The restaurant, although looked slow had great food. I would come back to this hotel if ever in the area. It was a great time for a great price!

• Excellent Stay. Location also convenient to PDX Airport

  I meant to book another hotel close to PDX and actually booked this property. I was surprised to find that it is still very convenient to the airport and also far enough east of Portland to avoid the busy traffic. You can actually follow Airport Way East from the airport and take I-84 east to exit 16, take a right and the hotel is about a mile south of I-84. Staff were very pleasant and hotel was well updated. I also enjoyed the nice fitness room and indoor pool. Restaurant and bar in the hotel was also very nice as well. There is also a good Japaneze restaurant within walking distance I tried out one night. After staying at this property, I will beback again on my next trip to the East Portland area.

  Although the hotel itself was beautiful we encountered problems from the minute we tried to check in. We arrived at the hotel at 6:45pm well after check in, only to find out we would have to wait a half an hour. We waited the half an hour and went back to once again check in and were told we would have to wait an additional 20 minutes. My husband explained that we had an infant in the car and we had travelled some distance and we were finally given a room. We had made reservations in advance so I didn't understand what the problem was. Needless to say when we got to the room it was not the room we had reserved but we decided to just live with that. Unfortunately one of the beds looked like the sheets hadn't been changed and we didn't have towels. The front desk told us that housekeeping would bring us some towels but that never happened. To make a long story short it was the worst hotel stay I have encountered and I hope that the service has improved since our stay.

• Nice upgrade for a family trip

  I drove up to Portland by myself with three kids. It was a relief to have such a friendly staff greet us. (Some nicer hotels are not that kid friendly.) The kids enjoyed the indoor pool in the morning, and I enjoyed the conveniently located hot tub. I also noticed that the business center was located next to the pool with a big glass window so that if you are unfortunate enough to have to work while your children swim, it is easy to keep track of them through the glass. The kids loved the all you could eat breakfast buffet--I liked that kids under 12 eat free. The money we saved on breakfast out paid for the upgrade to a nicer hotel and my dip in the hot tub before setting out to the all day festival we were attending.
  
  This is an annual event for us, and the kids want to come back to the same hotel next year. I agree.
