  Everything at Comfort Inn was great! Clean, quieter neighborhood, excellent super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. It is a distance outside of the downtown area but excellently quiet. Very good large well-supplied courtesy breakfast area. On a lake or river-- we didn't have one but I think waterfront units are available. They recommended Ricky's restaurant about two blocks away which we found quiet with larger than usual menu selections and very excellent staff and service so we ate there both suppers we were there. There is a city bus across the street from the Comfort Inn which for about $2 can be used to get downtown and see part of the city along the way, which avoids driving in downtown traffic and parking challenges. We drove and parked downtown (voice GPS very helpful) and took the rather expensive BigBus tour as one of our family can't walk very far, but I think we'd have done better to just walk around the various attractions within 2 or 3 blocks of the intersection of Wharf Street & Government Street. But Comfort Inn was excellent!

  We were on a ten day vacation to BC and I had made reservations for a queen mini-suite at this hotel. We arrived before check in time but the desk clerk was gracious and called to see if our room was ready. To our delight it turned out to be a one bedroom corner unit with a full kitchen, dining area and living room. It was located along a canal and though the building was close to the road, we could not hear any road noise. We enjoyed a filling breakfast every morning. The pool was raised above the canal and we met a lot of nice vacationers.
