  WE HAD A GREAT TIME IN NEW ORLEANS AND THE NEXT IME WE WILL BE STAYING LONGER. THE HOTEL STAFF AT J.W. MARRIOTT WAS GREAT VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE STAFF WAS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE OF THEIR CITY AND ALL THE GREATS SITE AROUND. THE HOTLE ROOM WAS GORGEOUS, THE MARBLE BATHROOM FROM COUNTERTOP TO FLOOR AND THE SHOWER WALLS, THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN WITH A GREAT VIEW OF THE CITY ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THE HOTEL TO ANY ONE GOING TO NEW ORLEANS. THE FLIGHTS WERE GREAT AND THE HOTEL SHUTTLE WAS VERY GOOD AND EASY TO FIND ONCE OFF THE PLANE. LOVED IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• Was less than I expected

  We visited for our 25th Anniv and booked JW Marriott for the Class, location, and because I'm a Marriott Gold Member. I had called the motel prior to arrival and was lead to believe I would be upgraded to a suite. My upgraded room was a corner room that looked out on the AC condensers and Emergency Generator. The generator came roaring to life one morning around 9 AM, disturbing us before we were ready to get up. The concierge suite didn't offer service on the weekend, the computer there was broken, no replacement available and no other computers available in common area. The hotel did send a bottle of wine with a cheese and fruit tray to the room and the manager did provide some bonus Marriott Points. If it had been a trip for work none of the issues would of mattered, but it was a once in a life time event and I was hoping for a once in a lifetime experience from one on Marriott's premier hotel.

  Words can't describe this hote. If it's not a 5 star hotel, it should be. The desk clerk upgraded our king suite to a deluxe king suite at no charge. Everyone at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The concierge was on her job. She knew everything about getting around New Orleans. That helped me out a lot since this was my first trip there. The room was very spacious and the bed slept great. I will be staying here on my next visit

  I never write reviews but I had to write one about our fantastic stay at this hotel. Everyone working there was sweet as pie. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and I can say this was in the top 5 in terms of service. great location.And might I say NewOrleans was such a happy place. I've been there before but this time the people were outstandingly hospitible. I can't wait to return.

  Location is about 1 block from the French Quarter. Depending on the time of arrival checking in can be a hassle if you are driving. Valet parking is $$ but you will need it. The check in area is located behind the main entrance on a one way narrow street behind the hotel. Staff is very attentive and eager to help once you find the check in area. The service and rooms were excellent and I love staying at this hotel. During Mardi Gras this hotel is on the Parade route so if you have a room facing Canal Street you can see the parades from your room. Excellent hotel anytime of the year...
