The lodge was immaculate, the service excellent, and the restaurant was quiet, clean and food was good. The overall experience was very delightful. The rooms were large, very nice decor. Fresh fruit in the roomw/ large bathrobes hanging in the closet.

The location of the Hotel in Santa Barbara made it very convenient to downtown and to the 101. Front desk was very helpful, and friendly. The room was comfortable, clean and the bed was great, with very firm mattress (and real bath mat, not just a "towel"). Enjoyed the pool area with the bird sanctuary. Will definitely stay here again!!

Wrong Room
06/11/2007We were there at 3:30 pm to check in. the front dest told us that if we wait they will give us better room as our room was not ...
We were there at 3:30 PM to check in. The front dest told us that if we wait they will give us better room as our room was not clean yet. When we came back 1 hr later, we found that they gave our room to someone else and we were stuck with a small room. They gave our original room away.

The staff was more than willing to help, gave us suggestions on restaurants and offered to call a taxi for us. The rooms were very clean, plenty of towels, shampoo etc. but were decorated from 1970.

09/19/2006Breakfast at the neigboring restaurant was excellent; must get pancakes! room needs soundproofing--i could hear everything from adjoining rooms even folks using the toilet. very serene otherwise. great pool.
