I was pleased with the look and comfort of this hotel, the only thing was the continental breakfast that they state is included is really not. They checked some list and said that I was not eligible for the breakfast. I had to go outside the hotel to eat and paid extra.

Two friends and I visited the Holiday Inn on vacation and it was wonderful! Everything that you see on the hotel's website is the same in real life -- from restaurants, to customer service and hotel maintenence. Our only issues with this hotel were with housekeeping and at one of their restaurants, the ""Eighty 20."" For some reason, housekeeping always ignored our ""Please Make Up the Room"" signs and we had to contact the front dest for service, however, they always sent someone up right away. The ""Eighty 20"" is an extremely beautiful restaurant, however, the customer service was horrible, it took at least 25 minutes for us, including other guests, to get our orders taken and about an additional 30 minutes for our food to come -- when the restaurant was not even crowded. Also, the server had the nerve to include his gratuity charge in our bill when he wasn't attentive at all. He gave me the wrong change -- TWICE, and double charged my friend's credit card for one meal for, which she had to call back to straighten out. So in all -- GREAT hotel, that I would highly recommend. But I would not recommend eating at the ""Eighty 20"" unless you're willing to wait all day to be served, get your food and risk being double charged. My advice is to pay cash if you do decide to eat at this place! But GREAT hotel in general.

I spent 5 days at this hotel and it is a great location for exploring Puerto Rico. It is a bit of a distance from Old San Juan but you can take the city bus for $.75 direct to Old San Juan (takes 45-60min.); About $19 by taxi. I had a single room ground floor pool side. The room is a bit small because of the size of the hugh 4 poster king size bed. The bed was a delight, soft and comfy. AC is at your control, coffee maker and small fridge make it very nice. Bathroom split with vanity area and then shower and toilet. Shower okay, but whole area really small and tight. Shower room door actually hit toilet it was so tight. This may be only in single rooms. Room was clean and a good value for it's amenities and location. Walgreens and supermarket within walking distance as well as many fast food places and some very nice medium priced restarants. Holiday Inn restarants, Asian and Bistro, were practically empty each night. Beach 1 block away and easy to find. Other hotels with casinos within easy walking distance. El San Juan, Ritz Carlton, Intercontental.I rented a car for several days and found the staff helpful with directions. I was able to easily find my way back to the hotel. Only issue was that you have to pay $10 night for parking. I think parking should be free if you rent a car. You can use the bus. ctr for computer access and print your boarding passes for free. I would recommend this hotel to anyone for it's location and value.

This hotel is a Great Deal for what your getting as far as beauty, service and friendliness and cost. The staff were all welcoming and helpful with all our needs and recomendations we requested. They found us a room with a view of the water even though we were 4 hours early. When we arrived and checked in we went to the bistro in the hotel and were meet by a very friendly waiter who not only gave us a map with grat places to see around old San Juan and the immediate area,he also made the best mojito I've ever tasted!!! The rooms are VERY well kept and staff respects privacy, very important. The towels and sheets all cleaned exceptionally. All the other restuarants in the hotel were good. This hotel is in perfect locatipon central to many different places both American and Puerto Rician,we walked everwhere. We really felt comfortable and didn't think anyone needs to pay soo much for more ""trendy, pricey"" hotels, you get that service here without the uptightness. We can't wait to go back and stay.
