I think I just went up there on a bad weekend there was some type of conference going on. Also my bathroom door didn't close properly without throwing your body into it. Other than that everything was fine.

FIRST OF ALL WHEN I PICKED THIS HOTEL IT WAS BECAUSE IT HAD AN INDOOR POOL AND JACUZZI AND SECOND BECAUSE IT WAS A CLARION HOTEL; WHICH I CONSIDER TO BE A FAIRLY CHEAP BUT UPSCALE CHAIN. THE FRONT DESK CLERK WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND CONSIDERING HE WAS THE ONLY STAFF I ENCOUNTERED I CANNOT JUDGE THE ENTIRE STAFF. THE ROOM WAS VERY LARGE AND ACCOMADATING AND CLEAN. UNFORTUNATELY THE PRAISE STOPS THERE. THE TIMER ON THE JACUZZI DIDNT WORK. THERE WAS A VERY YOUNG COUPLE IN THE POOL THAT WAS DOING EVERYTHING BUT MAKING LOVE AND NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT. THE BREAKFAST WAS NOT TO STANDARDS FOR THIS TYPE OF HOTEL. IT WASNT FRESH AND TASTED OLD. THE HALLWAYS WERE IN NEED OF REPAIR AND ONE OF THE WINDOWS ON OUR FLOOR IN THE HALLWAY ACTUALLY HAD A BULLET HOLE IN IT. THERE WAS NOT A HOTEL INFORMATION BOOK IN THE ROOM OR A YELLOW PAGES. THE PEOPLE THAT ARE IN CHARGE OF CLARION NEED TO COME IN AND SEE IF THIS HOTEL REALLY DESERVES TO KEEP THE CLARION NAME.

We booked a room because of the close proximity to the Ohio State University and the great price $* per nite. What we got, was a whole lot more! From the sketchy characters in the parking lot asking for money because their car supposedly was broken down. The breakfast was cold & horrible, use your imagination here. The one positive was the staff. Very kind and when we checked in, they told us to bring vauables in. We took their advice and took EVERYTHING to our room which we did not leave unattended EVER. When we told the staff we would be checking out early, they did offer another room, but at this point we had already made up our mind to move closer to campus; the Blackwell offered us $* and we ended up at the Fairfield Inn for $*. I guess the saying still holds true - you get what you pay for.

This was a very nice hotel at one time. Staff was nice room was clean almost. There was a used towel in bathroom left for us hangin on shower curtain. Staff acted like they did not care too much about it. The area surrounding the hotel is not really too good of a place to be in.
