  These rooms were very expensive for our family-- as they only had single beds we had to rent 2 rooms. But don't get me wrong--this was like living as a 1700s colonial gentry family and although expensive are a tremendous value. We could only afford to splurge like this for one night before moving to the Woodlands hotel, but it was amazing to walk the halls that Thomas Jefferson did several hundred years ago. The concierge is going into my concierge hall of fame for getting our whole Williamsburg visit so well organized. His tips were 100% on the mark.

  The Colonial Taverns was a pleasant surprise! Our room was right on the main street in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg. Our building built in the 1700s, was restored and very comfortable. We thououghly enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this hotel!
