The Royal Pacific is a regular stop over for international business travelers. Well known for it's convenient location above the China Ferry Terminal and a short way to the Airport Express Train at Kowloon station. The hotel is rather boring, on the edge of TST. There's more street life around hotels in the center of Tsimshatui. The hotel layout is up and down and all around. People get confused using the various elevators and stairs. The staff at the executive lounge is very professional and can help you with just about anything.

The room my family stayed in was one of the older rooms that were not renovated. The bathroom had areas of scratched off paint and in one of the two rooms my family stayed in the carpet had a musty smell. The remote had to be aimed at a specific angle in order for the television channels to be changed. However, apart from the room, the location is fantastic. There is a mini mall connected to the hotel and inside there are shops, travel agencies, and a food court. It is also located next to where the ferries operate. Also the hotel located at the harbor of Tsim sha Tsui overlooking Hong Kong Island, making it a great place to take a relaxing walk after dinner.

I stayed in a standard room in the Hotel wing. The air conditioning was not working in the first room I got. The 2nd room was on a smoking floor while I requested non-smoking. Since there were no other rooms available I had to wait till the next day to change to a non-smoking room. The air conditioning in the 3rd room was okay. There were no drawers to storing clothes. They provided a drawer approximately 16Wx14Hx20D. A lot of hanging space but only 6 hangers. Needless to say, I kept my clothes in my luggage. I used all the provided towels everyday and not once did housekeeping provide extra. Both rolls of toilet paper were down to 10% and housekeeping still didn't change them. I had to get a roll from their cart.

Hotel is located above the ferry terminal and a 3 story mall with a Starbucks in it. The layout of the hotel can be confusing, but the lobby level has a bridge that will get you into nearby Kowloon Park and through it to the MTR underground subway system without too much confusion. The staff are extremely attentive and always helpful. There are 3 restaurants, but I only had breakfast in the 'Cafe in the Park' and it had an excellent breakfast buffet with a floor to ceiling view of Canton Road. Room service was efficient and fast, although the food is not fantastic. The hotel is across the street from the Harbour City Mall and it is a huge haven of a hundred upscale stores and many fine restaurants, coffee shops, and even an amazing gourmet market. The room was okay, but felt over used by guests. The bed was large and clean and the bathrooom had both a tub and shower, it was huge. Our room stared at an office tower. Ask for a harbour view, but the haze could keep you from seeing anything beautiful anyway. The room was quiet and lights and air were controlled from the night stand panel. Very convenient in the middle of the night! The in-room safe made me feel at ease leaving my valuables behind, although I felt generally safe in this hotel. They keep a watchful eye over everything and barely a crumb gets to sit on the floor in the public areas. I would stay here again.
