  The Absalon was pretty much what one expects from a railroad station area large budget hotel; the room was clean, fairly small, not air conditioned. The staff was helpful. The location was convenient to many of Copenhagen's best sights. The actualy neighborhood surrounding the hotel was a major "red light" district. Overall, the hotel was OK, but probably not for the squimish.

  Superb location and friendly, helpful staff make this non-chain hotel a great place to stay. Be aware that there are two types of rooms-3* and 1*. We stayed in the 3* wing and had absolutely no complaints. Efficient bathroom, comfortable room, cable TV with many english language programs and a great breakfast buffet.
