I arrived on September 6th, 2008 with my pet , as the hotel was orginally rated as pet friendly. I have in fact stayed at this particular hotel twice in the past three years with my pet Dachund. I was this time turned away by the hotel staff without explanation. I was very offended by this. The owners have every right to restrict their hotel to having pets or not, but I have every right to select a hotel that accepts pets. In the past they have accepted pets. In Salmon Arm for myself and my friends we will not be staying at the Super 8 again.

It had gotten worse when we got in to the room. As soon as we walked in, we could smell something rotten and moldy. We looked everywhere to find the source of the smell but we just found lot of hairs on the floor and some chips and a bottle cap. The bathroom was the worst. (smelly toilet and shower curtains.) !! Bathtub was so dirty that we were reluctant to take a shower. We were disgusted and asked to be moved to a different room, however, the clerk said that they were booked up solid and did not have any other rooms. Then the clerk told us that it was a busy day in Salmon Arm and even if we tried, we wouldn't be able to get a room eles where, and she commented; " ...But if you insist, you could leave..good luck finding a room."
We ended up staying.
I am very unsatisfied with this accommodation and do not recommand it!!! -

Horrifying Experience!
06/28/2006The room wes stayed in had old rotten smell.(probably the aged carpet) the beds were horrible and noise from the highway traffic kept us awake all night. the lady ...
