I booked this because it was reasonable and near the airport after an Alaska cruise. Check in was prompt, the room spacious, clean and comfortable, if a little spartan - no art on the bare walls, for example. Air conditioning worked very well - a plus given the heat wave Vancouver was experiencing. The view consisted of a chainlink fence and hedge. All rooms are non-smoking.The neighborhood is nothing much and dining options are limited to the cafe on premises or a couple of fast food joints within walking distance if you are without a car. There is a free airport shuttle that was prompt and the drivers very friendly and helpful with the luggage. It's not the Pan Pacific or the Fairmont, but a good value for the money.

The ""suite"" room was nice-just the right size for our party. But I found out the next morning the hotel would not honor the complimentary breakfast per the Comfort Inn web site. The breakfast in the onsite restaurant was good, but expensive for 3 adults and 2 kids. When I was making the reservation, the web site kept saying 2 adults 1 child, no matter what I entered. When I found out there was no breakfast, I figured the # of people didn't make a difference. I just received my bill, and the charge is $12 higher than my confirmation. The hotel said it was for the extra adult! Instead of paying the $138 I thought I was paying, the nite cost me about $180. There were plenty of other hotels for much less, which I would have chosen had the web site told the truth.

It was hard to find because the directions said that it was on the corner of Bridgeport Rd. and #3 Rd. (it was actually Sea Way and #3 Rd). The room was nice and comfortable. The free wireless was convenient. The bathroom needed extra work to remove some mildew from around the tub, and there was some on the wall (but not enough that made it gross) Only problem was that you could hear the squeeky, creaky bed next door when certain people got excited.

Food service wasn't available for anyone catching planes before 8:30AM. No bell service is present which proved to be a real problem in the morning. Elevator stopped working during the night, so travelers, including some handicapped individuals, were forced to carry luggage down 2 to 4 floors, without any assistance from non-existant staff. Didn't even get an apology from only employee in sight - the guy at the desk! Wouldn't stay there again even if they redecorated. Decor is dark and makes everything look dingy.

The hotel was undergoing a lot of remodeling, but it was a fine place to sleep in. I'm glad we got a room away from the main road. The hotel is on a busy road, so there's not much of a view, especially with the construction of the Skytrain rail in the neighborhood. It was little difficult to get into the hotel driving north on No 3 Rd because of the traffic island; you'll need to take a little detour to get in properly. Otherwise it seems pretty manageable to walk to the nearby malls. Lots of great Chinese food nearby.
The staff at the hotel seemed a little understaffed at the front desk, but very friendly and helpful nonetheless. There's only one elevator (that I knew of) so if you have lots of luggage, you'll need to be patient. They also have a nice complimentary breakfast area.
