Stayed at this Hotel this past week-end with my family. Everything about this place was horrible. Our room was way over priced and filthy, our sheets were stained, the carpet was filthy and our room had a disgusting smell. Found the staff to be rude and useless! would never stay again.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn last night and had a beautiful night and a wonderful sleep. The breakfast was great and a lot like every other Comfort Inn. The front desk was so friendly and always welcoming. We will go back again in a heart beat.

At first, ignored Travel website prices; then got bad room

Arrived to find that the hotel planned to charge us approximately $20.00 CAD MORE each day of stay than the Travel website quote. Could not contact Travelocity about this without incurring approximately $0.45/minute cell phone roaming charges, since the hotel would not permit me to use their phone to call). Instead, I produced the printout of our itinerary from Travelocity to prove the lower price commitment. Staff member on duty could change the pricing, even with management approval over the phone, due to not being authorized to do so in their local computer system. Finally she discovered that a prior shift employee had not logged out of another station, and was able to adjust the pricing there. It took over 40 minutes to accomplish this. Even so, they then placed us in a SMOKING room when we had specifically requested a non-smoking room. Hotel was fully booked with athletic teams for some local tournament and they had taken all the non-smoking rooms. I'm surprised that non-smoking request was not enforceable but it did not appear on the printout from Travelocity and, since there were no other rooms available there, we were pretty much stuck. When doing a new search for the same location, it DOES list non-smoking as part of the rate I'd booked, so I'm surprised this doesn't show in the printout, but it certainly did not. Finally, the "continental breakfast" was about the poorest excuse for one I've ever seen. No fruit, just some hardboiled eggs, bran muffins, English muffins, toaster waffles, 3 dry cereals, coffee, juice and milk. Part of our party daily walked the 1/4 mile to/from the Tim Horton's next door to get a decent coffee. Microwave but nothing to heat up in it (except maybe the coffee?).

The rooms were very clean and the pillows were amazing. The staff were wonderful they always had a smile on their faces. I had no problem what so ever with the internet while I was staying, I was able to connect and conduct business as usual. The continental breakfast was amazing, so much to choose from. I will be returning to the Comfort Inn when I have to stay in Owen Sound.
