Not a good idea
09/24/2009We were part of a group of people who were staying at the hotel for a wedding. (we later discovered there were 3 wedding groups booked that weekend.) ...
We were part of a group of people who were staying at the hotel for a wedding. (We later discovered there were 3 wedding groups booked that weekend.) Initially, we had difficulty even communicating with my father's room; we were not given the room number but the desk at least called. Later, my mother HAD our room number - where is the consistency? Upon entering our room, my husband found a most inappropriate, unclean pillow that he had to return to the front desk. Next we tried to locate a telephone book - none of the rooms had a local phone book and my husband was placed in front of a computer in the lobby to "google" the information he needed. The day of the wedding, we returned to the hotel between the wedding and reception and looked forward to a glass of wine at the bar (this was a Saturday afternoon around 5 PM.) We were informed there was NO wine available as the management was not there for the day and no one on staff had a key to restock the supply. What is this for a Saturday event? The staff was unapologetic and offered nothing as a compensation. We have traveled throughout the US and have not experienced the frustrations this place presented. Perhaps others have had a more pleasant experience.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are extremely large with a huge sofa and 42"" plasma tv's. The beds are comfy and the showers large enough for a 6' person without bending over. The staff was very helpful and effiecient. The surrounding area has many high end restaurants and night life (movies and bars). This hotel will be the only one we stay in while visiting the Columbus area.

Thankyou. The Hyatt Place in north Columbus Ohio was fantastic ! Friendly service and nice, neat suite with all the amenities . Location was great too with convenience to interstate and shopping, movie, and restaurants ! Minutes away from OSU ! I would stay agian !

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room, the friendliness of the staff and the free breakfast! It is also very convenient to restaurants and movies and to the major highways, which was important to us. We would definitely stay again.
