- Minimum age for all registered guest is 18. All guests 19 and under traveling without parents are considered as adults and are subject to any additional fees. A 200.00 security deposit applies for 1-4 people, and 250.00 for 5 people. This will be collected by the hotel at check-in.

Went here with my husband and baby...this was our second time staying at the sunspree. I like the convinience of the hotel. Our stay was nice, noting major to complain about...there is only two things I'll share with you, the front desk could be a little nicer...and DO NOT even try to make a phone call. My husband tried to make one, to California, the other person did not even picked up, and we were charged $*.00 for it. When we went to check out, we were told the news...after talking to one the managers they took it off our bill, but, oh boy!! were we in for a surprise!!! so use your cell phone!!! Other than that, will we stay here again? yes we will. One more thing before I go, the "seafood buffet" at the hotel restaurant...not worth it!!

Parking issue. You have to park across the highway and make a 100 yard walk to the entrance, a very dangerous road. No walk way or light. Not ideal for children or the elderly. The Hotel is dated and weathered, The check in staff was very friendly. All of the rooms face the ocean so the view would be nice if you’re above the 6th floor so you can see over the top of the Palm trees. When we opened the door roaches were running on the floor, along with dated ceramic tile and filthy grout. A small balcony with window ac unit. The beds were rock hard, and our sheets were musty. All of the furniture is dated and worn. The internet at best was in and out constantly loosing connection. Cell phones do not work in the rooms or on the balcony; you have to walk to the front side of the hotel to get a connection. I use AT&T. The bathroom is dirty with dated counter tops, and my biggest pet peeve is a backing up tub when trying to shower. There was about a foot of water in the tub when showering. The bar staff were some of the most unfriendly people I have encountered in quite a while… The front counter gave us two free drink cards, but you can’t use them at the tiki bar… I ate dinner in the restaurant nothing Special average service, we were the only one in at the time. The Management staff was very hostel when confronted with our issues, we checked out early. The last thing I noticed early in the morning looking up at the Holiday Inn sign were both H’s were burnt out.

We were welll pleased with our accomodations; the room was large, clean, and a great view. Tthe pool area was exceptional and the beach was clean and the sand beautiful. At night they had a family friendly hula show and fire dance. We would definitely stay here again

We had a great time, but the hotel is a little dated. The furniture was in bad condition and the walls are stuco and the have collected dust in the ceiling and around the top were the ceiling meets the wall. The bed was pretty good, but the mattress was very old. Our overall rating for this hotel would be three stars, but with the necessary upgrades it could be a five star hotel. The food was good, but as we were paying we noticed a huge cock roach crawling up the wall near the air conditioning control and our waitress killed it with her hand. I feel these are things that are fixable and theses things will not deter me from visiting it again.

Stayed here in Feb. 2008. Beautiful location, all the rooms have a great view of the Gulf of Mexico, staff was great...only disppointing feature was we arrived in mid-February and it appears the hotel does NOT cater to winter travelers. The pool was not heated so taking a swim even in 70 degree sunshine was not possible, the 'hot tub' was luke warm, the pool side tiki bar was closed, the advertised breakfast buffet wasn't available. Very disappointing! Being from the north we would have liked to take advantage of the Florida sun and warm weather to take an occasional swim but in all honesty the Gulf was warmer. We spoke with the manager about the lack of a heated pool and the 'cool' tub, he indicated that it was ""too"" expensive to heat the pool. In previous stays at this hotel everything was open in February making our stay more pleasant because of this we decided to stay elsewhere. A shame really because this hotel is right on the beach road and close to restaurants and shopping. I certainly would recommend this hotel if they took care of their winter guests and at least had some of their amenities open, even if on a limited time basis.
