I stayed at the hotel while attending a conference. Room and bathroom was very clean and had adequate space. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. I accidentally left some belongings behind and after contacting the hotel, the items were promptly sent to me.

Good location. If you take the T, this hotel is right next to Macys.Very close to the T stations. Walking distance to Fanuill Hall, Newbury Street, Chinatown ,Waterfront , Boston Common & Cheers at Beacon Hill. Hotel Staffs were very friendly and helpful. They let us checked in around 9:30 a.m. I had 2 rooms and the rooms were very clean. Pillows and bed are very comfortable. Shower water pressure was good except the exhaust fan was broken in my room. Definitely we stay at this hotel again. If you purchase the Go Boston Card and need to redeem your tickets at the Massachusetts Transportation Building, this hotel is only about 7- 8 mins walk.

Easy location, attached to Macy's via indoor walkway at Downtown Crossing, short cab ride to South Station, Aquarium, etc. and about a three block walk to Park Station on the green line. Pool open until 10pm & very clean, steam room too. Staff was superb in every department, included full breakfast was great, do not miss it. Dinner at the hotel was very good as well. Cabs are easily available if desired.

My husband and I went to Boston for a 50th Anniversary Party. Our room was on the 20th floor. We spent the early part of the week exploring Boston, mostly on foot. This hotel is in a wonderful spot for shopping, close to the Boston Common and historic spots. We had a great time, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We went to the most wonderful French restaurant in walking distance from the hotel on Saturday night, called Troquet....!!!! Wonderful French food and service. We would stay in this hotel again in a heartbeat and we will definitely eat at the Troquet again! (we were a little worried when reading some of the negative comments, but we could not see anything of the sort when we got there, so we were so pleasantly surprised.) There was a convention of orthodontists the weekend we were there, but we hardly saw any of them. You get a cozy feeling because it is kind of private even though there were a lot of people there, we never had to stand in line for help.

We arrived around midnight and were assigned a small dirty room--that smelled of smoke. The travel website description said the room included a microwave and a fridge--which it did not...and even the nice room the management eventually moved us to--did NOT have a microwave and fridge as described. So upon arrival that late night--I called the front desk immediately--and because the hotel was full--we had to stay the night in that room. The next day while out--the management did arrange for a different room and did move us to a lovely very clean room with a very nice view. As we were there for a week, this was much better...there was no way we would have tolerated staying in that very dirty smokey room. Because we were so unhappy with the condition of the room, the concierge also did arrange for us to have brunch that morning after our arrival--which we appreciated--and we appreciated the gesture of good will. The hotel is in a very central, excellent position to use the T. We used the T for everything except the transfers from the airport--which were by taxi (expensive). We bought a week pass for the T--which is used both on the subway and bus (great value). My son used the gym (he is a student-athlete, and we were looking at colleges) and he found the tread mill and ERG to be acceptable. We will definitely choose to stay here again when in Boston.
