The majority of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The late night manager at the bar was rude and condescending with the few of us that were there at closing time. However, with the exception of her it was a fun place to stay, and I LOVED my room!

For the price this SF hotel offers perfectly fine accommodations. I wish that they would have put as much effort into the presentation and comfort of the guest rooms as they did in the public spaces. Breakfast was very good and fresh (continental, no hot foods) and the staff was superb. It is in a great central location but this comes with some noise which may be problematic for some people. Small rooms, but this is densely populated SF, not the suburbs. Bathroom cold with few ammenities. Very stingy on the linens and the sink is around the corner not in the restroom.

The hotel was more of an artistic type place that was very quiet, small, and clean. The only noise that I encountered was at about 3-4 am when the garbage trucks collected the trash, other than that it was a quiet stay. The hotel was not very up to date as far as computer rooms, pools, etc., but i wasnt there to lie around the hotel. It was in a very convenient location that enabled you to walk to the main attractions or catch the trolley. I probably wouldnt stay here with my family because of lack of convenience for kids and lack of closets!

Boutique Hotel fails to charm- dirty, tiny, depressing

The hotel was dark and dreary, especially the halls that you step into after the cramped and rickety elevator/cage ride from the depressing lobby. The view from the room overlooked a brick wall that you could reach out and touch if you could have pried the window open, which might at some point become necessary as the place was not air conditioned. The teeny tiny room had no place to put our clothes. Just a closet-thing with shelves. The area of SanFrancisco was sketchy and not picturesque, in spite of being right near China Town. It didn't feel safe hailing a cab and of course there was no concierge service to make that endeavor any easier for their guests. Never again! Boutique? Hah!
