Important Hotel Information
- Please be advised the hotel requires a valid credit card or security deposit in the amount of 150.00 cash which is refunded at time of departure. Please note the credit card deposits may take up to 5 days to be processed back to the credit card.
- Please be advised there will be a resort fee of 12.50 daily per room per night plus tax collected at check out.
- We will have 1st floor rooms which are easily accessible as well as 2nd and 3rd floor rooms for those guests wanting to use the stairs to work off some of the fabulous South Beach eats they sample. Staff will also be available during the day to help guests with their luggage.

This hotel is okay if you just need a place to rest your head, shower, and store your things while in South Beach. If you're looking for luxury, look elsewhere. If you're going to be outside of the hotel for the majority of your trip... this is exactly the kind of place you'll need for the money. It's right on Ocean Drive so everything is in walking distance. The only thing I really had an issue with was they charge you extra ($12.50/day + tax) for things that should already be included in the room rate. I wanted to stay at a hotel I stayed in the last time I was in South Beach, but my budget didn't permit that this time... so this was my alternative. If I'm on a low budget again, I'd definitely stay at The Majestic again... if I save up next time, I'd be somewhere else.

South Beach has a lot of really old hotels, so one cannot expect much more than the experience of staying on South Beach. I liked that the hotel had a restaurant on the front porch, like many others. The room was really tiny. Also, making a reservation thru the hotel would have been cheaper than any online search engine.

This is an old hotel with very basic rooms. It was clean but has some stains in grout? Nice to have free WiFi and TV that could accept a gaming system for my son. Location is awesome! Staff very helpful and friendly. I would stay again for a short stay but probably not for more than acouple of nights at a time.

Anyone who gives this hotel a bad rating has obviuosly not been to south beach in the art deco district before. Any hotel on Ocean is going to be older, have small rooms and have an outdoor cafe that hustles you for your business. Having stayed at several in this area I can easily say this is the nicest hotel I have stayed at yet. It all comes down to expectations -- if you want luxury, do yourself a favor andstay either of 14th or on Collins or Washington, but if you want the prime location in a very night art deco property this is an excellent choice. Besides, if you are doing anything in your room besides sleeping you are really wasting your time in south beach.

We were just there for vacation and just like the other reviewers mentioned -- rooms are small, it's NOT luxury by any means, but we had a great time. The staff were mostly very pleasant to us, helping us with whatever we needed. The elevator was being worked on when we were there but they brought our bags up for us. The cleaning staff was great, we always had fresh towels and a clean room. It's located right in front of the beach, unlike all the Collins and beyond hotels. All the restaurants on Ocean Dr are just downstairs, but you can easily go to Collins for Walgreens (2 blocks away) and other shopping. Yes, the restaurant staff kept asking us to go eat there (just like all the other restaurants on Ocean Dr) but that's part of the Ocean Dr experience I guess. Other than that, It's great. It is what you pay for it. Not luxury but clean and great location.
