I am posting this review 3 weeks after sending this a letter of complaint to the facility. Since they did not feel it was important to contact me I feel it my duty to warn others from wasting their time & Money. Our family stays at the beach around 6 times a year. We especially love the resorts in the off season when we can relax and really enjoy the indoor water attractions. This was not the case on this visit. On Thursday night we found the Lazy River not working, there was a big group of people in the 1 pool & hot tub that were obviously not even staying at the resort. They were fully clothed when they came in bringing with them bags of swim clothes, towels and buckets of food. They were acting wild and had all the floats from the Lazy River in the pool. They were stacking the floats up 3 & 4 high and crashing off from the top of them. There was no towels available for the guests but what we did find was an army of disgusting Palmetto Bugs scurrying around the entire pool area. I went up to the registration desk & inquired about the Lazy River and the general disrepair of the pool area & was promised that the Lazy River would be "Shocked" & working the next day. It was not. We came down on Friday to find Police tape blocking off the water attractions and still a flock of Palmetto Bugs! & no towels! We spent the day on the lovely beach and at the Outlet stores. Also it would be nice if housekeeping knocked before coming in the room rather than opening up the door wide & yelling Housekeeping. Just a little could have made our quick stay so much more enjoyable, which it really wasn't.

Took a weeks vacation in March 2012 before spring break. Room was clean, nice clean kitchen. Great view of the ocean in an ocean front room. Lazy river was a bit cold. Pool and area cleaned daily. No problems. Staff was not to friendly but adequate. Daily maid service made beds, took garbage and gave us clean towels. Didn't need internet service. Cell phone service wasn't that great though. Would stay again and recommend. Attached parking garage made for easy check in and unloading/loading.

We were really disappointed once we arrived. The pictures are deceiving. The hotel was old, dirty and the rooms were small. We left after 24 hours and went to North Myrtle Beach.

I have stayed in dirtier rooms but not many. The sliding glass door to the balcony was off it's track and neither my girlfriend nor her son could open or shut it. The toilet leaked. There was no alarm clock. The only ice machine that worked was on the first floor. The bathroom door would not latch. There seems to be three sections of this hotel and I believe I was in the oldest. The pools were cleaned daily as was the pool area. Most of the people we met who stayed here or at one of the sister properties said their rooms were not as clean as they thought they should be.

I'm not saying this is a terrible place to stay but it definitely should not be called a resort. It is a run down motel. The carpet looked fairly new but it still needs a lot of remodeling done, mainly the bathroom. The bowling was fun though.
