The Holiday Inn Express is located in the center of West Bay Street in the heart of historic Savannah. There are many restaurants, bars and sights to see within blocks of the hotel. The Olde Pink House , one of Savannah's top notch restaurants was one block away. I also strongly recommend Elizabeth's on 37th although it a cab ride away. The hotel had a pleasant brick exterior and the interior was nicely appointed. I loved the lounging areas and especially the fireplace as there was chill in the air. These are the same areas in which the free breakfast was served. The rooms were homey and comfortable and we had a nice view of the river from our room. I will definitely stay in this hotel again on my next Savannah visit.

This hotel is within walking distance of most shops and restaurants in the historic district. The lobby is decorated very nicely, the rooms are attractive and clean, and the staff is very helpful. We had a balcony overlooking Bay Street. The view was great, but the street noise is very loud.

In the heart of the historic district, a great find. The room looked extremely modern and had a nice view. The staff was extremely friendly, particularly the bar tender. We traveled with our toddler and felt welcomed. The crib we requested was waiting in our room as promised. Great breakfast was included with the stay when we were there in July.

Location of hotel was excellent. Breakfast buffet was very good. Beds and pillows were the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced in a hotel. I found it very hard to sleep. Bathtub was not cleaned for 3 days until I reported it to front desk. Front desk was courteous. Bartender was at front desk while I was speaking to desk clerk and she was very rude. I did report her to management and they apologized. I would not stay at this location again and have made several trips to Savannah since and now stay at a different hotel.
