For the price, it was a really good deal. The fact its close to the convention center without charging you an arm and a leg is amazing. They even give more amenities than some of the other big name hotels who will charge you for the simplest things. I'll definitely be booking this again.

I was looking for a reasonably priced place to stay for a convention at the LA convention center, and was truly making reservations at the last minute. I was hoping to find an inexpensive, clean hotel in a fairly safe neighborhood within walking distance of the convention center. This place was it. I arrived early at noon, long before the room was supposed to be ready, but the desk person seemed genuinely sorry he couldn't accommodate me right away. He let me store my bags and told me to come back at 1:45 pm, and that he would save the first ready room for me. I came back at 1:30, and he had a room. It was on the second floor at the back corner of the hotel, and was very clean, and obviously recently refurbished. It had the basics, a table with two chairs, dresser, queen size bed with four pillows. There was also a refrigerator (empty, not jammed with items to be used and paid for), and a coffee machine with coffee. There was also free Internet, but you had to get a password at the front desk Some reviewers have said it was noisy, but it was quiet for me, and I slept very well. There is free parking, not all that common near downtown LA. The hotel was within easy walking distance. It took about 15 minutes to the Convention Center. You can also take a bus for $ that gets you very close. The neighborhood is kind of seedy, but there were many families walking around, and it didn't feel dangerous. There are many restaurants nearby, including McDonald's and several Asian restaurants. All in all, I recommend this hotel for a traveler going to downtown LA on a budget.
