The South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa is just a few miles south of the Las Vegas Strip. Yet it is a unique "island unto itself" with so many fun options for everyone in this enormous hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious, the people are gracious. There is bowling, an amazing equestrian arena, which is also available for live concerts, etc. Plus a conference center, movie theater, bingo, pool, gym, spa, barber shop, gift shop...and of course, the ever famous gambling. They have a really wonderful variety of restaurants. I loved it and plan to go again as soon as possible!

The hotel was very nice and had a lot to do without having to stay on the strip. However, There is a daily resort fee of $18 and if you want to shuttle anywhere, it's $8 per person per day. I would have thought that was inclusive with the resort fee since it says it's for shuttling. We had no luck with the gambling as the machines were very tight. We sank a few hundred in the first 20 mins on penny machines with no wins in between. I'd recommend staying closer to the Freemont where the locals recommend for a better experience. The food however was excellent at all the internal restaurants. I will say the best part of this hotel was the pool and the bartender there. Otherwise, good luck finding a waitress on the floor of the casino.

Simple said, an excellent hotel. My first stay there. Just a few minutes from the downtown Las Vegas, yet, this hotel has everything that one could ask for. The staff was courteous and friendly, the atmosphere and the entertainment was great. But, most of all was the cleanliness of the place, specially the non-smoking rooms. A great place for everyone, including the little ones. One more thing. I accidentally left my suit at the hotel, and when I called the next day, I was told that it was at the lost and found. They shipped my suit back to me and a few days later it was delivered at my home. I believe I don't need to say more about this hotel.
