The staff was very helpful and friendly. All of them. We were always greated with a smile. They all went out of the way to ensure our needs were met. The hotel is located at the baseball field, just a few blocks from the convention center and near many restaurants and shopping. The room was comfortable and clean.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. I especially enjoyed the roof top bar. Enjoying a cocktail, the sunset and the Padres was a fabulous bonus. I'd definitely stay here again the next time I'm in the city.

The Gaslamp Quarter Marriott was not the location of our headquarters Marriott (on the bay), but was closer to the downtown area five or six blocks away and still very close to the Convention Center--and much less expensive. The professional baseball field was visible from the roof-top restaurant, and the immediate area was filled with excellent restaurants and stores. The hotel staff was very helpful in every regard, and knew the area like the back of their hand. The rooms were comfortable, and the whole experience was very pleasant indeed--makes one want to visit San Diego more often!
